Family-owned and operated for over 30 years by Peter and Letitia Costa, Triad Boatworks is a full-service boatyard located in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, known for its quality service, trusted relationships, and loyal customers throughout New England.
The business has been acquired by Chris Hood of Classic Boatworks Inc., an experienced boating industry professional with a lifetime of expertise in custom boat building, restoration, and yacht service. Hood brings an established team, including members of his own family, continuing Triad Boatworks’ proud tradition of family ownership and operation.
The acquisition marks an exciting new chapter, honoring the legacy built by the Costa family while positioning the business for continued success under experienced leadership.

The transaction closed on August 28, 2026. Terms of the sale remain confidential.
